This Stabilized Soil Block Press (SSB) comes in four varieties:

1. Straight Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block Press

 

This machine is able to produce approximately 500 standard size and shaped blocks in an eight hour day. The interlocking feature on both varieties of ISSB's helps cut cost on cement. Mortar is only needed on top and bottom of the brick..

When a block is compressed it looses 30% of its volume. This is due to the mechanical compression of the press driving out air pockets and aligning wet clay particles and compacting the clay around the sand particles.

Compressed soil blocks are building blocks formed from stabilized or un-stabilized compressed soil. The compression ranges from several hundred pounds total, to several tons. Because of the great gains in durability un-stabilized blocks are only used where nothing is available to stabilize the blocks. In addition to stabilization, the soil the blocks are to be made from is calibrated for durability, workability, and survivability.

         

2. Straight Non-Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block Press

 

This version of the Stabilized Soil Block Press (ISSB) machine is used in making regular or straight blocks that are used in general construction work. The compression ranges from several hundred pounds total, to several tons.

The Standard Non-Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block Press machine produces blocks that do not interlock as the name suggests. The blocks produced have smooth sides and straight edges making brick laying less skilled. They require upto 70% less mortar and a minimal amount of cement to join together in the process of construction, which translates into stronger walls for less money!

Compressed soil blocks are building blocks formed from stabilized or un-stabilized compressed soil, using the Stabilized Soil Block Press machine. The blocks produced are globally recognized as permanent building material with a higher comprehensive strength as opposed to clay fired bricks or concrete blocks. 3. Curved Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block Press

 

This version of the Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block Press (ISSB) machine can beused in making curved or angled blocks that are used in construction of round water tanks. When a block is compressed it looses 30% of its volume and stabilizes as it dries.

The curved ISSB is custom made to requirements ranging from 1.5m to 5m diameter of circular tanks. The standard size, however, is 3 meters diameter (tanks). After testing your soil, preferably in multiple locations, you will have an soil mix that is about 75% sand and at least 10% clay and less than 35% clay, by volume. The amount of cement needed will be relational to how close you are to this ideal, ranging from 3-5% to 10%

Stabilized Soil Blocks

While making compressed soil blocks is labor intensive, they can significantly reduce the costs involved in building a house, outbuildings, fences, garden walls, etc.

Roofing Tiles

MCR roofs are constructed in a conventional manner using rafters and purlins made from wood or steel. Rafters are according to the shape and size of the roof.

Concrete Vents

The Multi-Purpose Vibrating Tables are also used for making concrete products such as ventilations quickly and cheaply.
